What is the AMICS?

They are local offices of information, advice and guidance for the immigrant group, whose purpose is to make available the resources that the Administration and other entities have in the matter. These agencies are born as a complement to the services that the Valencian Government offers to the immigrant population in their process of integration into society, favoring interculturality and coexistence with the host society. These agencies also promote cooperation between the Valencian autonomous administration and local administrations, betting on favoring the involvement of all entities of social and economic life in the construction of a supportive, tolerant and integrated society, as well as to facilitate to all the people who live in the Valencian Community, minimum standards of well-being, as they are currently conceived in practically all the countries around us.

Information, guidance and advice

The Information, Guidance and Counseling Service is constituted as a comprehensive care and information service, aimed at the migrant population, on their rights and duties, as well as on the primary care resources existing in the municipality of Formentera del Segura and its form of access to them, as a way to promote full integration and promote the participation of the population in the different programs carried out by the Department of Social Welfare and the AMICS Agency

Intercultural mediation service

Third-party intervention modality in social situations of significant cultural diversity, oriented towards the rapprochement of the parties, communication and mutual understanding, learning and development of coexistence and institutional adaptation.

Citizen Participation and Associationism Service

The creation and participation of associations serves as a tool for social inclusion and integration.

Associationism, as a tool for citizen participation, seeks the inter-associative collaboration of all existing and future associations of Formentera del Segura

From AMICS, we want to promote the inclusion of the entire population in the associative fabric, enabling intercultural coexistence and life in community, since for the group of migrant people, it can be an opportunity to overcome the breakdown of their ties, due to migration, facilitating psychological reception, exchanging experiences and having references for social integration.
