Located in the Plaza del Ayuntamiento.
Erected as an independent parish every 1963 by the bishop D. Antonio Sauches, segregated from that of Guardamar dedicating it from that date to the Puríssima. After the earthquakes of 1829 that devastated the Vega Baja, Formentera underwent a slow reconstruction, ending with the construction of the parish church in 1840.
Inside the temple, the imposing images of Our Lady of the Rosary, San Roque and an old painting of the Adoration of the Shepherds by an unknown author draw special attention.
The parish can be visited outside mass hours, every day from 08:00 in the morning.
